Blood Analyses of Routine Tests: You have to be fasting 10 until 12 hours before the blood sampling, unless the Physician order otherwise.
Blood Analyses of Special Tests: Although as a rule it is not essential to be fasting always it is desirable not to eat 10 until 12 hours before the blood sampling for special tests.
Sample of urine (Direct stream): Clean carefully the orifice of your urethra with cotton wetted with clean warm water. Place an urine container (sterile and disposable) under the orifice of the urethra and fill it to half or little more with the sample of urine. Close well the container and send it to the Clinical Laboratory Rudas Lab.
Sample of urine of Mean Stream: Clean carefully the orifice of your urethra with a cotton wetted with clean warm water. Discard the first stream of urine and collect the medium stream of urine in a disposable sterile urine container, filling it to the half or little more with the sample of urine and send it to the Clinical Laboratory Rudas Lab.
Sample of urine of 2nd hours: Empty completely your urinary bladder (discard this first urine) then after exactly 2 hours collect an urine sample in a sterile disposable urine container to the half or little more of the container, close well the container and send it to the Clinical Laboratory Rudas Lab.
Sample of urine of 24th hours: Empty completely your urinary bladder (discard this first urine) and record the time. Then, in a special container (supplied by the Laboratory ) collect all urine samples for the period of 24 hours that follows, including the last urine sample. During this period store the container in the refrigerator or in cool place. In certain cases it is necessary to follow special diet several days before the sample collection. After the collection of all 24 hrs urine send the container to the Clinical Laboratory Rudas Lab.
