Remarks: Almost all serum Testosterone circulates bounded to SHBG. In healthly, less than 1% circulates as Free Testosterone. Free Testosterone is used for assessing hirsutism and masculinization in women and for avaluation of testicular function when SHBG and/or total Testosterone are altered.
