MuSK antibodies
Sample: Fresh Serum (See instructions)
Status: GR Lab
Schedule: Three weeks
Units: Titer
Range: Negative
Remarks: MuSK (Muscle-Specific Kinase) is a muscle receptor of Protein Tyrosine Kinase that regulates the formation of the neuromuscular junction. This receptor binds the proteoglycan Agrin promoting in this way the clustering of the Acetylcholine receptor (AChR). The anti MuSK antibodies are detected in myasthemia gravis patients that are negative for anti AChR antibodies
